Hello from Minnesota
https://carriers.hawksoft.com/ if you are not opening within HawkSoft
if you have any questions for Daniel/Paul, feel free to raise your hand any time, or post it here in the chat
In the carrier set up, if there is a statement download, what percentage are you putting in Agent Commission Exceptions?
Adel Bendayan, Sarah Shachar
The set up of Agent commissions under policy set up seem to be redundant as you setting up the Agent under the user list, is it, or did I miss something?
The agent commission exceptions are unique to those carriers. This will override the agent's existing settings for New/Renewal, specifically for that carrier.
The Agent's commission setup under the user list will flood over to every policy the agent is listed on. There should only be one time you would have to setup the agent, unless you wish to create an exception per carrier.
Will we go over how to run a report to see if a carrier either for direct bill or agency bill owes us commission?
Teresa, great question, we will discuss advanced options towards end of session and will make sure we bring this up.
Great thank you
When a policy is not in the system it will go into unmatched documents from there you can create a file for the client.
I had a statement that was reconciled to wrong month can you pull it her and reassign it to the right month
Great question Vanessa, Paul answering now ;)
Can you set the commission paid based on total premium?
I am doing these step along side you. It feels like it's blowing up my HS. It's freezing on me. Is that a personal problem?
Karen, I will have you ask that question live in a moment
Does that answer your question Karen?
Got it Thanks
Sorry that didn't translate well. If they write $15,000 in premium in a month, they make x% of commission. If they write $20,000 in premium than they get a higher X% paid.
Adel Bendayan, Sarah Shachar
how should you set up commissions for policies that are through MGAs and are paid by the MGA and not the company? Is there a way to set that up?
If a company pays commission on installments (as client pays company) and we pay CSR/agents a one-time flat fee for new business, will it try to pay the flat fee every time there is an installment on the new business term? Also, is there a way to see Line of Business, because we don't pay on all lines of business.
Why don't you run a receipt report per month?
can you walk through actually doing one
Wendy I will have you ask that question live in a moment ;)
I don't think my microphone will work in RingCentral
if we pay to the MGA on each item, should we set up as Agency Bill and it will set up the invoice to reconcile?
Vanessa, if you are creating invoices for MGA business, you can setup the Agency Bill Commission Basis and every time the invoice is paid, that will create a commission transaction to be reconciled.
Note: If you have mapped these fields before, you will have the Company configurates within the 'Load Company Configuration'. This process should only be done one time
If you have a MGA that has direct bill and agency bill how do you set that up?
What do you do with non download commission statements that the company sends in a PDF not an excel?
How do you reconcile Broker fees?
Do you receipt the broker Fee's?
broker fees: is there a way to set up broker fees as a field on an invoice showing amount withheld as commissions is 100%
the way you are showing now, will it show up on a commissions report?
correct. this a 2 part question
Thank you Shannon
on agency bill if you enter the invoice and then the payment when its received you automatically get the accounting pre filled. It also set up the export to QuickBooks.
Correct dfarrell, you do have the option to setup an invoice line item for broker fee and have the option to setup that Invoice item to include 'commission setup' that will flood to QuickBooks. ;)
Shannon, if you wish to verify that setup, our Product Support team can always assist and review with you.
I print report to Hawksoft virtual printer then attach it to the agents file in Hawksoft. You can email report from Hawksoft.
Great suggestion as well dfarrell ;)
can we change that name from "supplemental" to what we want? can we customize that
Where do you add the draw?
If you need assistance setting up a new office, we do have those steps in our HawkSoft User guides (Help System). Remember you also have our Product Support Team to assist
if you go to user list and then user permissions you an uncheck producers from accounting and they can not see any accounting/commission information.
What do you do with commission statements where the company keeps customers on the statement and don't clear it out every month?
that's an awesome tool, Noemi!
It definitely is a great tool! :)
We will email you a link to the recording of the webinar within 24 hours.
